Moving pigs

Moving pigs is never easy around here. I think it is because of the ramp and have purchased an old horse trailer to move pigs to market but it is heavy and cannot be used for on farm moving. This is our proud momma moving back out to pasture after raising her babies. She had her babies on march 18th and we weaned the babies at 6 weeks, gave her two weeks to freshen up and back off to pasture she goes. We expect our older gilt to have her first litter in August. All pigs born this year are purebred Tamworth’s but next year we should have Berkshire/ Tamworth crosses available. Making bacon is fun!!!
