Summer keeps on going
We continue to have a good harvest of tomatoes, and peppers. It is almost the third week in September and although we have had a few close calls with frost, we have not had any killing frosts. It si nice because all the vegetables came in a little late so we are able to continue canning sauce, salsa and making sun dried tomatoes in the dehydrator. I woudl think thsi woudl be the last weekend for tomatoes and other frost sensitive crops but we will just enjoy it all while it lasts because it is a long winter in the Northern Catskill Mountains.
Hi Chris,
I just want you to know how happy I am to have you and yours in my neighborhood. I met you personally at Alison Slon’s house during a dinner there. The work (and play) you do brings so much comfort and joy to this community. I stop by once in a while to see what is up, you are usually out in the fields or working on a project. So great that there is always something new going on.
Here’s to a happy fall and winter season.
Eugenie
