Harvest Goals and Accomplishments

This years bounty has been coming in since the Spring, beginning with Asparagus, but now is the time of the year when everything we grow is available. As you can see in the picture we have Red Potatoes, Yukon Gold Potatoes and Russets, Corn, Delicata Squash, Zucchini, Eggplant and Summer Squash, Hot Peppers, Sweet Peppers and both Yellow and Red Onions.  There is even Basil and a very small container of tomatoes.  I took this photo this past weekend and will have to update with a picture of all of our tomatoes.  We must have hundreds, if not thousands of tomatoes.  Sun Golds are always customer favorites but I personally enjoy the San Marzano tomatoes because I turn them into salsa and tomato sauce that we eat throughout the winter.  The large heirloom tomatoes and great on sandwiches.

I have to say that this year has been a success and I thank all of our faithful and new customers for helping us grow this year as a farm.  We have already sold hundreds of pounds of produce and have sold cuts of meat from two pigs and almost 50 meat birds through our Farm Store.  We have already restocked with a third pig and will have fresh chicken available again next weekend.  Come out and enjoy the beautiful scenery and delicious food we have to offer.  We are taking Turkey orders for Thanksgiving as well.
