New chicken tractor design
This is what we will call the 2013 movable chicken coop. Our Salatin coop was too heavy and difficult to move. This year we are hoping for lighter and easier management of our meat birds.

Hi here, enjoy your site, it looks like you guys are having fun ! I would love to know how this version of a chicken tractor ended up working compared to a Salatin design?
Are you making any more changes this year?
Derrick I really enjoy the livestock panel design. It is much easier to move, to feed the birds and take care of them and grab them when it comes time to butcher them. We have built three more of these pens as we are going to raise 30 turkeys this year and I am going to try putting a young flock of egg layers in another one. Sorry for the delayed response and if you ahve any other questions please feel free and I will answer much quicker.
